I recently installed an engineered 3/8 x 5 floor in a customers basement. cork/vapour barrier underlayment, all joints taped and sealed. I glued the tongue and grooves on first 2 rows, as well as end joints of pieces near walls so they couldn't be "kicked" open.
It was not a click lock floor. I believe the floor will float uniformly and I won't have to worry about the glued joint horror stories. What's you take on this?
